Finding Calm In Community
I had the privilege of attending a regional, multi-day conference/gathering for EFT Practitioners. This is the second year I’ve attended this particular event, even though I don’t live in that region. I went back because last year was just so amazing! Close to 100 attendees are provided with a warm welcome, food, shelter, presentations, prizes, and most importantly, Community.
Leading up to the conference had been a very busy time for me and for my EFT practice. I’ve learned lots of new tools and methods to reach my audience. With that learning comes uncertainty and more than a bit of stress around all that. Yes, I breathe with awareness to allow calm to find me. And I use EFT Tapping to neutralize any negative feelings that come up, which really helps. And at this conference I learned about the value of Community for reducing stress. I am thankful!
Coming together with like minds who are able to easily converse, laugh, commiserate, and reassure each other has an amazing way of reducing stress. We “get” each other. We don’t have to explain what we’re talking about like we do in our practices every day. We just get it. And that is both strengthening and calming. I’ve returned from the conference renewed, refreshed, ready to tackle whatever comes at me. And I’m smiling more now. 🙂
If you have someone, or several someones, who happen to be going through a similar stress-causing issue that you are experiencing, I recommend reaching out. A Community of two or more who understand each other and can provide positive support is way better than trying to tough it out on your own. We think we have to be strong and not appear weak by asking for help, but that just causes more stress! And if you reach out, you’ll be giving someone else the gift of mutual support. Maybe you could even practice EFT Tapping together! That’s a win-win for sure. You CAN find calm through community, and I’d love to hear how that goes for you.
Need support? I’m here.
Keep Calm and Tap On!
Please remember: It's important to contact a professional if things feel too big for you, whether it be a physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, or certified EFT practitioner. Never discontinue your current medications without first consulting your doctor.
